Museums' autumn festival 2009

Museums in all regions of Hungary await visitors with dozens of programmes in October and November in the framework of a tradition-setting event, which will be closed by the Autumn Night of Museums.

Visitors seeking adventures and interested in history will be allowed to discover the mysterious past of the Castle of Buda.

Museum of Ethnography

The programme will display the cultural heritage elements connecting to special days and holidays. The event will be accompanied by an arts-and-crafts workshop.

Museum of Fine Arts | Márton Napi Mulatság

A múzeum előtti téren tüzesek és dobosok fogadják a látogatókat. Egész este forralt bor és sült gesztenye várja a vendégeket a múzeum bejáratánál. Lesz múzeum mozi, és megkóstolhatják Buday Gábor ínyencségeit is, valamint folyamatos, de előzetes regisztrációhoz kötött tárlatvezetések várják a látogatókat 18-23 óra között, 21 órától lampionos felvonulás lesz a Hősök terén, a mulatság pedig hajnali 1-ig tart.

A különböző kultúrák népei mind-mind megünnepelték, és megünneplik ma is ezt a - Márton püspökről elnevezett - napot: ki libaáldozattal, vagy időjóslással, ki mulatsággal…Mi sem tehetünk másként: ezen a napon zenével és tánccal, libasülttel és tepertővel, finom borral, időjóslással, kézműves-foglalkozásokkal, hagyományőrző játszóházzal várunk kicsit és nagyot egyaránt Márton-napot ünnepelni.
